GENDER ISSUIES AND NETWORKING
· Both boys and girls are given equal places and recruitment of teaching staff are on the same Gender equity basis.
· The school always girls to return to school in case they become pregnant during the course of the school years.
· The school is open to work with NGO who promote the well being of the children and the school as a whole.

CHILDREN PROTECTION POLICY
· The school has a child protection policy on children.
· Pupils, parents, teachers and co-workers are educated on the importance of the child protection policy.
· Children are given information on their rights and duties.
· No Corporal punishment or biting is allowed in our school.
DIFICULTIES WE FACE DAILY IN OUR SCHOOL
· Transport: the school has no mean of transport for easy movement
· Early pregnancy: due to location and the nature of the compound set-up where we get more of the children, one or two girls yearly fail to complete their grade eight and nine due to early pregnancy.
· Shortage of teachers. The school only has five government paid teachers.
· Running cost: the school budget is very limited for paying the volunteer teachers, co-workers, feeding program.
HIV/AIDS
· The school is not spared in the effect of the HIV virus. Due to confidentiality, few guardians and parenthave open up on the virus status of some pupils.
· We are unable to provide healthy scheme for our pupils due to lack of funds.
· Children are encouraged not discriminate or use discriminatory language. And they receive information on spreading of the Virus, preventing and care of people living with the virus.
